Connect your bank.

STEP 4

Skip the phone number

Plaid asks for your phone number on the first screen. It's optional — used only to speed up Plaid sign-in next time across other apps.

Tip Tap Continue without phone number at the bottom of the screen. Plaid uses the phone for faster sign-in next time, but it's optional and adds friction now.

STEP 5

Pick your institution

A grid of common US banks shows up — Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Capital One, Citi, US Bank, and more. Use the Search bar at the top if your bank isn't on the first screen, then tap your bank's tile.

STEP 6

Check the share boxes

Before logging in, Plaid surfaces the consent box your bank requires — typically Share all accounts to see all your financial info with DentBooks. Tick it, then tap Continue to login.

STEP 7

Sign in at your bank

Your bank's own secure login window opens. Enter your username and password, then Sign in. If your bank prompts a two-factor code, complete it as usual. Plaid never sees or stores your password — DentBooks doesn't either.

STEP 8

Choose your accounts

Plaid lists every account at your bank. Tick the checkbox next to each account you want DentBooks to track, then tap Next. On success, DentBooks starts pulling your transaction history automatically.

Tip Check only the accounts you actually want DentBooks to track — the practice operating checking, the practice credit card, etc. Skip personal accounts. You can always reconnect later to add more.
